Islamophobia and Democracy: The Historical 200+ Year War Context between the Crescent and the Cross

The calamity of Islamophobic culture and policy, used by the far-right parties to stoke fear, blame and hatred, in the West and the international community at large, is not merely the sum of the individual tragedies of abuse and alienation nor even the generation of pretexts for further war and apartheid. We are witnessing a global tragedy unfolding before our eyes in which the vital contributions of Islam – and religion generally – to solving the international, moral, social and political crises of the modern world is purposely being diluted from our memories, thanks to the imperialistic propaganda at hand.

Islamophobia refers to unfounded fear of and hostility towards Islam. The term seems to date back to the late 1980s, but came into common usage after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States to refer to types of political dialogue that appeared prejudicially resistant to pro-Islamic argument. Such fear and hostility leads to discriminations against Muslims, exclusion of Muslims from mainstream political or social process, stereotyping, the presumption of guilt by association, and finally hate crimes. Islamophobia as a term and as a phenomena gained currency in part due to the popular thesis developed by Francis Fukuyama and Samuel Huntington that argued about an impending clash of civilization between Islam and the West. When 9-11 happened, the people already predisposed to viewing Islam with suspicion jumped on this bandwagon and through a multitude of primarily right wing outlets have been successful in creating a climate of extreme prejudice, suspicion and fear against Muslims. This sentiment has also been aided by many pro-Israeli commentators such as Daniel Pipes, Steve Emerson, Judith Miller, and Bernard Lewis, not to mention the gimmick-driven Pamela Geller, among many others.

Through the mass media and political rhetoric, the international community have become immune to reading the redundant usage and coupling of Islamic or Muslim with the inappropriate terms of ‘extremist’, ‘fundamentalist’, ‘fanatic’ and ‘terrorist’. Indeed, Muslim men were part of the World Trade Center attacks. However, these Muslims are limited to a specific number, they are specifically called Islamo-fascists. The widespread use of one’s religious adherence becomes a vital and necessary factor in describing any individual or group that is featured in a news story, but Islam, in general, being unfairly targeted will remain valid. There are many “religious” groups who have committed crimes against Humanity such as the Jewish Israeli guards who have opened fire on the West Bank or Roman Catholic Basque separatists who focus their terrorist activities on the Spanish tourist trade. Why can we not discriminate and villify those too?

The Historical 200+ Year War Context between the Crescent and the Cross

SPECIAL REPORT SERIES by Lady Michelle Jennifer Santos – TSR Founder & Publisher and Strategy/Peace Negotiator with the UN Security Council Special Envoy to the Arab Nations

In the blaming of “Islam” for a minority of extremists, for which in the forthcoming reports will prove that the West funded and nurtured, we are in danger of suffocating the seedling of real self-determination and true sovereign rights due to the hostile cultural climates these war criminal masterminds are propagating in order to justify a “humanitarian just war”.

There is a complete marginalisation of Muslims condemning the attacks and you have a fictional Muslim community that sits comfortably within the established norms of Islamophobic expectation. But the mainstream media mostly seeks out those with the loudest voices who fit their own agenda rather than fitting the agenda around the more significant voices, deliberately suggesting a cynicism where all Muslims (or any group they wish to target) have synonymous views, as we are currently experiencing in their journalistic pro-American policy editing of the news. The saddest part is how the international community willingly accepts the media’s accessible “experts” and news as ’authoritative, immediate, realistic and authentic’, when in reality, Islam is completely obscured by Islamophobic assertions.

Mainstream media news has become  a hyper-realistic construct, where  the real and the imaginary consciously and continuously collapsing into each other. We need to ask what is real and what is imaginary, and must question how accurate, and indeed responsible a decision was it for news agencies to show what is really happening on the ground?

Check these reports we have published here, as no mainstream media will report the massive support for Gaddafi:

Tens of thousands of Libyans rally for Gaddafi in Tripoli: LISTEN TO US! WE WANT PEACE!

TRUTH: Libyan majority, One Million March for Gaddafi

Jews and Muslims in America: More in Common Than We Think

A new Gallup poll shows that American Muslims and Jews – in addition to having a shared religious minority experience – share a great deal of political and social views, as well as a deeper than expected affinity.

Unity

By Joshua Stanton, August 14, 2011

Contrary to common assumptions, many Jewish and Muslim Americans enjoy warm relations. Yet we are only beginning to understand how and why this is so. A Gallup report released last week goes a long way to explaining this unexpected trend, which shows that the two diverse communities have more in common than is often thought.

The report, “Muslim Americans: Faith, Freedom, and the Future”, reveals that overwhelming numbers of Jewish Americans believe Muslim Americans are loyal to their country – 80 per cent to be exact. Aside from Muslims themselves, no other religious community demonstrates such confidence in the loyalty of America’s Muslim citizens.

Further, it seems that Jewish and Muslim Americans share a number of common political views – even about issues as contentious as the Middle East conflict. The same study indicates that 81 per cent of Muslim Americans and 78 per cent of Jewish Americans support a two-state solution, which would enable Israel and a future independent Palestinian state to live side by side. While dialogue about the Middle East conflict remains contentious, the vision for a long-term solution appears surprisingly similar.

How could this be? Why would two communities, so often portrayed as being at each other’s throats, not only have confidence in each other but have similar perspectives on even the most contentious issues?

One possibility is a shared immigrant experience. Jewish immigrants, who arrived in multiple waves of immigration but most visibly in large numbers at the end of the 19th century, often used education as a means of gaining a foothold in America and of finding a way to contribute to their new country. It now appears that Muslims are taking a similar approach. In fact, 40 per cent of Muslims surveyed in a 2009 Gallup report, “Muslim Americans: A National Portrait”, note that they have attained a college degree or higher. This makes Muslim Americans the second most likely of any religious group, behind Jewish Americans, to attain at least a college education. It seems that Muslim Americans may be carving out a niche and contributing to American society today much as their Jewish counterparts did a century ago.

While Jews and Muslims in America may have highly educated communities, both groups also exhibit fear about perceptions that others hold of their traditions. According to last week’s report, Jewish and Muslim Americans are more likely than adherents of any other tradition to conceal their religious identity.

It may be an understanding of what this means that has caused what may best be described as significant empathy on the part of many Jewish and Muslim Americans. While 60 per cent of Muslim Americans polled by Gallup say that they experience prejudice from most Americans, a remarkable 66 per cent of Jewish Americans say that most Americans exhibit prejudice against Muslims. This means that Jewish Americans are aware of anti-Muslim prejudice more than any other religious community.

2002 Iraqi Intel Reported Wahhabis Are of Jewish Origin

Submitted by David Livingstone

The U.S. Department of Defense has released translations of a number of Iraqi intelligence documents dating from Saddam’s rule.  One, a General Military Intelligence Directorate report from September 2002, entitled “The Emergence of Wahhabism and its Historical Roots”, shows the Iraqi government was aware of the nefarious purposes of the Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia, often known as Salafis, in serving Western interests to undermine Islam.

The report relies heavily on the Memoirs of Mr. Hempher, which describe in detail how a British spy to the Middle East, in the middle of the eighteenth century, made contact with Adbul Wahhab, to create a subversive version of Islam, the notorious sect of Wahhabism, which became the founding cult of the Saudi regime.  The movement was temporarily suppressed by the Ottomam armies in the middle of the nineteenth century.  But with the assistance of the British, the Wahhabis and their Saudi sponsors returned to power and founded their own state in 1932.  Since then, the Saudis have collaborated closely with the Americans, to whom they owe their tremendous oil wealth, in funding various Islamic fundamentalist organizations and other American covert operations, particularly the “jihad” in Afghanistan.  But the Saudis simulatenously use the immense wealth at their dispossal to disseminate this disruptive brand of Islam to various parts of the world, categorized by some of the largest propaganda campaign in history.

Many who defend Wahhabism as a legitimate reform movement of Islam have tried to dismiss the Memoirs as a spurious fabrication.  These include Bernard Haykel, Professor in Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University, who, without providing any evidence, presumes the Memoirs to have been created by Ayyub Sabri Pasha.

However, while the Memoirs only emerged in the 1970s, Pasha wrote his version of the story already in 1888.  Ayyub Sabri Pasha was a well-known Ottoman writer and Turkish naval admiral, who served the Ottoman army in the Arabian Pensinsula, writing several works about the region and it’s history.  IncludingThe Beginning and Spreading of Wahhabism, where he recounts Abdul Wahhab’s association and plotting with Hempher.

In addition to that revealed in the Hempher Memoirs, the Iraqi intelligence report also makes known some surprising claims, derived from works circulated in Arabic which have not been translated into English.  As the report recounts, both Abdul Wahhab, and his sponsor, ibn Saud, who founded the Saudi dynasty, were of Jewish origin.

For example, D. Mustafa Turan wrote, in The Donmeh Jews, that Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab was a descendant of a family of Donmeh Jews from Turkey.  The Donmeh were descendants of followers of the infamous false-messiah of Judaism, Shabbetai Zevi, who shocked the Jewish world in 1666 by converting to Islam.  Viewing it as a sacred mystery, Zevi’s followers imitated his conversion to Islam, though secretly keeping to their Kabbalistic doctrines.  In Europe, the Shabbeteans were eventually led a century later by Jacob Frank, claiming to be a reincarnation of Zevi.  And, according to Rabbi Antelman in To Eliminate the Opiate, to them belonged the Rothschilds who had a hand in the founding of the Bavarian Illuminati.  The Donmeh community of Turkey were concentrated in the city of Salonika, which became a hotbed of Masonic activity, and from which the Young Turk movement evolved, which aided in the collapse of the Muslim empire of the Ottoman Turks.  There is evidence that Ataturk himself, the founder of the modern Turkish state, was of Donmeh origin as well.

Turan maintains that Abdul Wahhab’s grandfather, Sulayman was actually Shulman, having belonged to the Jewish community of Bursa in Turkey.  From there he settled in Damascus, where he feigned Islam, but was apparently expelled for practicing sorcery.  He then fled to Egypt and he again faced condemnation, so made his way he to the Hijaz, where he got married and fathered Abdul Wahhab. According to the report, the same is claimed in The Donmeh Jews and the Origin of the Saudi Wahabis, Rifat Salim Kabar.

The notion of the Saudi family being of Jewish heritage has been published by Mohammad Sakher, who, it is claimed, was ordered killed by the regime for his revelations.  The report relates a similar account, but from different sources.  According The Wahabi Movement/The Truth and Roots, by Abdul Wahhab Ibrahim Al-Shammari, for example, ibn Saud is actually descended from Mordechai bin Ibrahim bin Mushi, a Jewish merchant from Basra.  Apparently, when he was approached by members from the Arabian tribe of Aniza, then claimed to be one of them, and traveled with them to Najd and his name became Markhan bin Ibrahim bin Musa.

Additionally, Abdul Wahhab was descended from Wahib Al-Tamimi, so, as reported by al Said Nasir, in The History of the Saud Family, the Saudi ambassador in Cairo, Abdullah bin Ibrahim al Mufaddal, paid Muhammad Al-Tamimi thirty five thousand Jinee in the year 1943, to forge a family tree of the Saudi family and that of Abdul Wahhab, and merge them into one, claiming their origin from the Prophet Mohammed.

While it would be difficult to independantly authenticate these claims, they are interesting in light of the role that the state of Saudi Arabia has and continues to play with regards to supporting and advancing Western power in the Middle East and elsewhere.  Especially astounding is the very dubious and virulent form of Islam, that Wahhabism and Salafism represent, which is currently wrecking havoc on Islamic traditions, and dividing the Muslim community in petty squabbles over trivial details, allowing the War on Islam to proceed effectively unchecked.

Islamization Is A Zionist Diversion

ttp://defiantcholeric.wordpress.com/2011/07/22/islamization-is-a-zionist-diversion

What I am going to write here is controversial and may come as a surprise. I hope you will consider my argument with an open mind.

With an annual influx of thousands of immigrants into Europe and the high growth rates of minorities living mainly in Western European countries, coupled to attacks by radical Muslims in New York City, Madrid, London and elsewhere, many a right-wing political movement now promulgates the idea that we are about to be “islamized” due to both demographics and multiculturalist policies.

The idea is that Islam, being responsible for virtually all terrorist attacks in recent times, is now the main enemy of the West, bent on restoring the caliphate and destroying us. In order to defend Western Civilization, they resort not to emphasizing our achievements and greatness, but much rather to analyzing Islam, demonizing the Qur’an and Muhammad, and defending a supposedly Judaeo-Christian civilization and “values” that include much of what is in fact part of our moral decline. Geert Wilders, for instance, has declared Islam to be not a religion but a “political” movement, and the Qur’an to be a “Fascist” book, which is of course absolute nonsense since Fascism is something altogether different. Yet many an Islamophobic right-winger now refers to Islam as “Islamofascism”.

Some of the supporters of these views are Christians, many of whom are American, and believe even the United States to be subject to what they call “Islamization”, i.e. a process whereby Islam is slowly being imposed on a country through demographics and/or political action and social changes. Considering the 9/11 terrorists were Muslims, they believe they are now at war with Islam. Moreover, they say, moderate Muslims do not exist – all of them are potential terrorists because of the very nature of Islam, which they hold to be violent and backward. They passionately support Israel, which they deem to be a natural democratic ally of the West. This, of course, explains why Islamofascism is such a useful term as it connects Islam to Nazism merely on the grounds of Antisemitism, which they accuse Islam of harboring, despite numerous examples of Jews historically having been rather tolerated in Muslim nations, to the point where some did not want to leave when Israel was created!

I believe the whole idea of Islamization is a diversion from the truth. Firstly, the fact of the matter is that Islam would not be much of a problem in Western Europe if we had not allowed mass immigration and multiculturalism in the first place. Who supported these changes? Left-wing and Liberal groups. Islam is what it is and we cannot change Islam or practicing Muslims no matter what. We may disagree wholeheartedly with their religion, and I certainly do, but we cannot blame any of them for acting the way they do, or for believing the things they do. Secondly, the West has been mingling in Middle Eastern affairs for so long that hatred has been stirred up. We could have avoided this by engaging in realpolitik, but instead the West chose to support Zionism, an ideology with firm connections to Socialism.

Indeed, Geert Wilders turns out to have worked at a kibbutz as a young man, and he has traveled to Israel extensively, having some Jewish ancestry. It all becomes clear then why he so passionately supports Israel and opposes Islam, doesn’t it? If you don’t believe me, look up his biographies and you will find out the truth. I ask myself why should politicians or governments in general be engaged in making documentaries against Islam and evaluating Islamic scriptures and theology in courtrooms? While it makes sense to study Islam to better understand its political motives, the real underlying problem is the spread of Islam through multiculturalism and mass immigration, but not Islam itself. In fact, the ideology of Wilders is merely a defense of Liberalism, as he supports same-sex marriage, feminism and other liberal principles, which have nothing to do with traditional right-wing Christian conservatism whatsoever. That is not to say he is wrong on everything, but this thread is not dedicated to him.

Had we not blindly set up a Jewish State on land originally inhabited mainly by Arab Christians and Muslims alike, supporting and engaging in war to defend this tiny and strategically significant entity, and had we not bought into the egalitarian and neo-Marxist ideas of multiculturalism, open borders, and immigration, I am absolutely certain that the problems we now face with Islamic radicals would not have been there or would certainly have been far less problematic. In addition, the United States is home to maybe 1-2% Muslims, and the overwhelming amount of criminality, statistically, is committed by its own African American population coupled with Mexicans, most of whom are illegally crossing a hundreds of miles long unprotected border. This does leave you wondering where on earth Americans get the idea that they are being Islamized, though below is a suggestion.

Some people ought, perhaps, to be reminded of the fact that Jews both in the United States and in Europe overwhelmingly support these left-wing policies. In fact, the Jewish mayor of the Dutch city of Amsterdam, Job Cohen, is a member of the Dutch Social Democratic Party PvdA and his support of multiculturalism is firmly rooted in the doctrine of Anti-fascism, which I ought to say was also staunchly taught in the DDR and other Communist nations. Even in Antwerp, home to thousands of Jews, most Jews welcome multiculturalism despite the fact that they themselves experience hostility from Islamic immigrant youth, while the natives simply leave them alone in peace. Is it not ironic that patriotic and mostly conservative, White, Christian Americans are being sent to war in the Middle East to support the interests of those who, at home, are the most rabidly anti-Christian liberals out there?

Eugenics; A Racist Spin justifying Genocide

Eugenics to make us think of predetermination and to support racism.

This video suggests that the Jewish war against Islam is much older than we realize. The Ottoman empire represented 1,300 years of continuous Islamic rule. It was dismembered in 1924, it seems many Jews took control of Turkey, and, coupled with the Ottoman’s debt to European bankers, we can surmise that there has been an historic battle against Islam.

The Other Israel

Movie by Ted Pike, compiled after 15 months’ filming and editing, this fast-moving, professional video documentary will give you a unique education on the inner teachings of Judaism and the talmud. Through the television camera “The Other Israel” takes you where few Christian scholars have gone before.

French Call For Veil Ban In Public Buildings

A parliamentary panel will recommend on Tuesday that France ban face-covering Muslim veils in public locations such as hospitals and schools, but not in private buildings or on the street, the group’s president said.France Burqa

The decision appeared to indicate that the 32-member, multiparty panel had heeded warnings that a full ban of the all-encompassing veils would be unfair, possibly unconstitutional, and could even cause trouble in a country where Islam is the second largest religion. The approximately 170-page report, to be released Tuesday, culminates a six-month inquiry into why a tiny minority of Muslim women wear such veils and the implications for France.

The work began after President Nicolas Sarkozy announced in June that such garb "is not welcome" on French territory. However, Sarkozy has since pulled back from committing himself to a full ban. Such dress is considered by many as a gateway to extremism. However, it also is widely seen as an insult to gender equality and an offense to France’s profoundly secular foundations.

Parliament will not be required to act on Tuesday’s recommendation. And given the deep divisions within the panel – its 12 Socialist members refused to vote in a dispute with the governing right – the recommendation for a partial ban on the face-covering veils may only result in a nonbinding government resolution.

The panel’s mission, and a separate national identity debate on immigration, already have left some of France’s Muslims feeling discriminated against, said Mohammed Moussaoui, who heads an umbrella group of various Muslim organizations. A 2004 law already bans Muslim headscarves in classrooms.
